dmfLIGHTING is the brainchild of two inspiring individuals with a passion for industrial design and detailed knowledge of the lighting industry. Founder Mark Danesh is an electrical engineer with extensive technical experience, and founder Faye Chad began the business with broad experience in marketing. In February 1988, the partners launched the company in a small space in Los Angeles, California.
Initially focused on can-style recessed lighting and trim, dmfLIGHTING achieved initial success based on delivering a quality product at a value price with excellent customer service. Fulfilling a market niche and delivering on their promises, Danesh and Chad were able to expand the business quickly to explore new and innovative lighting products. This tradition of innovation continues today. .
Each year, dmfLIGHTING introduces new product lines, new track heads, and new trims. dmfLIGHTING now offers a wide range of product lines, including track lighting, recessed lighting and industrial lighting. In the year 2007, dmfLIGHTING expanded to larger facilities for manufacturing and warehousing of its ever-increasing product lines.
