What is dmf LIGHTING’s warranty policy?
Merchandise is manufactured according to our high standards and is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from date of delivery. During this period we will, at our option, repair or replace, such merchandise that proves to be defective. This warranty does not apply to products damaged due to accident, tampering, misuse, abuse or abnormal usage and in no event shall dmf LIGHTING's obligation under warranty extend beyond the initial cost of products. This warranty does not cover cost, if any, of reinstallation of products serviced under this warranty.

How do I replace the lamps on my fixtures?
The system should be turned off to change any lamps. Allow several minutes for the fixtures to cool before attempting to re-lamp. Fixtures are labeled with a maximum wattage and lamp type. Lamp wattage should never exceed the indicated wattage.

How many supports do I need for a typical track system?
In general, supports should be placed approximately every 3 feet along a track. This varies according to the type of system used, the shape of the system, and the number of fixtures the system will carry.

Is your track system compatible with any other manufacturers?
Yes, our track heads are U.L. listed and compatible with halo and halo compatible brands

How many track heads can be used on your track?
According to national electrical code, 90W per linear foot of track

What is the difference between products supplied with lead calcium battery, and products supplied with a NiCad battery?
NiCad is 2-3 times more expensive than lead calcium. NiCad has a longer service life than lead calcium (12 vs. 5 years). NiCad performs better at colder temperatures. NiCad is more difficult to dispose of than lead calcium

What is the preferred product to use if supplying emergency power to remotely mount lamp heads?
Any unit with 12VDC output should be used in lieu of units with 6VDC output if the remote lamp head is mounted more than 25 feet from the power unit. Voltage drop at 6VDC can be significant using normal commercial building wire gauges (12-14AWG), thus severely impacting lamp performance
